Consumer Credit Counseling (CCC) is one of the options available to consumers. This can be a good solution but in most cases a consumer can set this up with their credit card companies directly.  This is a way for Credit Card Companies to collect 100% of the debt plus interest and an additional fee paid to the “non-profit” company on a monthly basis.

Question:  How does the Debt Settlement work?


Answer:
  The purpose of debt settlement is to reduce the overall amount of the debt, usually between 30% – 70% of the total.

  What happens when I stop paying my Credit Cards?

Answer: 
They will aggressively try to collect on the debt. Your credit rating will suffer in the short term. You will need this program to help build a strong plan to aggressively settle your debt for less than you owe.

If you use attorneys anywhere from $4000.00 and up.  But if you Do-It-Yourself, between $300.00 to a $1000.00 depending on whether you use a mediator for some of the difficult areas.

Question: What is a Mediator?


Answer:  A mediator is a neutral 3rd party who has no gain on your outcome.  They are only there to facilitate an amicable division of the assets and parenting time.  This helps keep your families hard earned money in the family’s pocket.  They are a sounding board and someone who hears your point and will be able to voice it back without hostility so the 2 parties can see the big picture.  They are not there for Judgment.
